Midland Primary Care is excited to introduce our newest addition to our provider team, Wendy Cole, FNP-C. With 24 years of previous experience as an RN and now a family nurse practitioner, Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge to our clinic, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her with us!
Wendy grew up in Richland, Mississippi. She attended the University of West Alabama for her associate degree where she was on the UWA collegiate rodeo team, participating in barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama in 2008. She most recently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in August with her master's degree in nursing.
Wendy worked as a medical assistant at a family practice clinic in high school where her love for the medical field began. In her new role as a nurse practitioner, she enjoys talking with and helping her patients get back to normal and feel the best they can.
Wendy is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to her patients and is dedicated to developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and preferences. As a family nurse practitioner, Wendy can provide a wide variety of primary care services to patients of all ages, including:
- Routine check-ups and physical exams
- Health screenings and assessments
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
- Management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and thyroid
- Women's health services, including gynecological exams, pap smears and menopause management
- Immunizations and vaccinations
- Patient education and counseling
- Weight loss management
- Hormone replacement therapy
